What are masterclasses?
A masterclass is an exclusive tasting session for a limited group of participants, led by experts from the wine industry. In-depth prior knowledge is usually not required. It provides in-depth knowledge about specific wines, growing regions, and grape varieties. Participants analyze aromas, terroir, and production processes, and can order the wines afterward.

“Cabernet Franc is an excellent grape variety, but from now on, Villányi Franc is the name to remember!” Cabernet Franc is one of the global grape varieties that rarely grows on its own—except in the Villány wine region, where it has found its natural home. Thanks to the region’s unique terroir, climate, and creative winemakers, the premium and super-premium wines made from Cabernet Franc are now known as Villányi Franc. With this elegant wine, we pay tribute to the region’s flagship product.
The Villány wine region is Hungary’s most influential red wine region, where the great international grape variety Cabernet Franc has found its natural home. András Horkay, DipWSET, guides you through the region and introduces you to Villányi Franc, the region’s renowned premium brand. A unique perspective on Cabernet Franc through the lens of the Villány wine region.
